The Weather Room is a performance atmosphere designed by Peter Ksander in which light and sound cycles every 23 minutes and 26 seconds, as a representation of the Earth and its cycles of extinction and speciation. Every year, artists from PETE’s Institute for Contemporary Performance create a solo-devised work in this space.
The 2025 weather room performance by Flinch took place after tearing their ACL and meniscus and breaking their wrist while performing. It is a representation of how it feels to come up against bodily limitations in creation.

Tears and Glitter by Mikki Gillette, directed by Asae Dean, 2025.
Asae Dean of Salt and Sage Productions produced Tears and Glitter by Mikki Gillette in repertory with another of her plays— Mimetic Desire— 2025. The piece follows a group of trans activists, friends, and lovers as they wrestle with the rise of white nationalism, struggle with interpersonal dynamics, and find themselves doing things they never thought they would.
Flinch played the role of Quinn, a trans man in his mid thirties whose internalized transphobia leads him to betray his own community members.

Between Today and Yesterday, directed by Cristi Miles, 2022.
Between Today and Yesterday was devised at Reed College in 2022 under the direction of Cristi Miles. The show looked at the same day— and subsequent murder— from three different character perspectives; the piece was an hour and a half long and devised over the course of three months.

No More Candy by Mikki Gillette, directed by Asae Dean, 2024.
No More Candy by Miki Gillette was produced and directed by Asae Dean of Salt and Sage Productions in 2024. The play features Desiree and Belinda, a trans and cis woman who fall in love in their college years and are forced to confront their personal traumas in order to build a more honest and open partnership.
Flinch played the role of Belinda, a cis woman and political activist who struggles with her use of alcohol as a coping mechanism throughout the piece.

I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore by Aaron Berlau; Produced by Witch Hunt Theatre, 2024.
I don’t Want To Be Here Anymore by Aaron Berlau (IDWTBHA) was produced in 2024 at a house in Portland, OR and was an immersive psychological horror production. IDWBTHA has the audience right in the middle of an uncomfortable visit to extended family members; pregnant mother Mary, her fiance, and his genderqueer kid visit Mary’s elderly parents. The piece clearly displays the process by which generational trauma can get passed from one family member to the next and features the violent ceasing of the cycle through the consumption of Mary’s baby as communion at the end of the play.

Antigone by Anne Carson, an adaptation in Greek by the One Year Lease Apprenticeship Company, 2022.
Anne Carson’s translation of Antigone, served as the base text for a newly devised greek adaptation of the piece by the One Year Lease Apprentice Company in 2022. The adaptation was developed in Mikro and Megalo Papingo and then toured to surrounding villages. This adaptation focused on the riuals of grief which are present throughout Antigone and used them to amplify the ritualistic nature of theatrical performance.
